This is a great opportunity to get your dog or cat neutered for not a lot of money! This event is for MALE PETS only! Neutering pets reduces unwanted litters and ultimately helps to save lives, or as this organisation puts it:
“Adoptions are a key part of dealing with the homeless pet population. But, there simply aren’t enough homes or shelters to handle all the pets in need. Preventing unplanned litters addresses the problem at its root.”

Happy Neuter Year is part of PetSmart Charities spay/neuter blitz grants, which fund month-long national campaigns. They’re aimed at saving the lives of pets with the highest risk of being euthanized because of overpopulation: cats, kittens, puppies and pit bull terriers. Animal welfare organizations across the United States and Canada participate, and receive grants to subsidize spay/neuter surgeries for the public
