PetSmart Coupon Policy

Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it’s easy to use them at our stores. When accepting coupons, we follow the guidelines below.

PetSmart gladly accepts the following coupons:

PetSmart Issued In-Store Coupons

• For dollars/cents off or % off
• Includes coupons flyers, advertisements, and events
• Must be for exact item that is being purchased
• Buy one, get one (BOGO) coupons
• Must have a valid expiration date
• Must have a scannable barcode
• Are acceptable in black and white or color

Valid Manufacturer Coupons

• For dollars/cents/ or % off
• Must be for exact item that is being purchased
• Buy one, get one (BOGO) coupons
• Must have “Manufacturer Coupon” printed on them
• Must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer
• Must have a valid expiration date
• Must have a scannable barcode
• Are acceptable in black and white or color

Competitors’ Coupons

• Must be for exact item that is being purchased
• For dollars/cents or % off
• Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons
• Must have a valid expiration date
• Must have a scannable barcode
• Are acceptable in black and white or color

Print at Home Coupons

• Must be legible
• Must have “Manufacturer Coupon” printed on them if it is a manufacturer coupon
• Must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer
• Must have a valid expiration date
• Must have a scannable barcode
• Buy one, get one (BOGO) coupons
• Are acceptable in black and white or color

We DO NOT accept the following:

• Rebates
• Expired coupons
• Coupons without barcodes (With the exception of PETM Friends and Family Special Event Coupons)
• Coupons for items NOT purchased
• Print-at-home coupons that require no purchase
• Advertisements for coupons
• Vendor checks as coupons
• Competitor’s coupons for any services (salon, hotel, DDC) or live pet purchases
• Competitor’s coupons for “while supplies last”, “First 100 in the door” or other door buster coupons
• Mobile coupons (Electronic coupons may be downloaded from the internet and are acceptable as long as they have a valid barcode that can be scanned at the register)
• Coupons that have been copied or altered in any way

The following are guidelines and limitations:

• We only accept coupons for merchandise that is sold in PetSmart stores where the coupon is being redeemed
• Coupons must be presented and surrendered at time of purchase
• We only accept one coupon per item purchased (the number of coupons redeemed cannot out-number the amount of items purchased)
• The coupon value may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item
• Cash back is not provided if the purchase value is less than the coupon face value; nor can they be exchanged for cash or gift cards
• Coupon must not be expired
• Coupon must be for exact item being purchased
• We do not accept coupons from eBay or any other 3rd party auction sites
• We do not accept coupons that have been copied, altered, traded, or bartered in any way
• When printing coupons from PetSmart online, please ensure that your printer is print-ready as all coupons have a two print limit
• PetSmart reserves the right to not accept a coupon that we deem as fraudulent use/accept coupons not covered in this policy
• PetSmart follows the disclaimer as printed on the coupon
• Some items may not be available at all stores
• Once a coupon is redeemed, it cannot be reissued upon return of the item purchased nor will cash be returned for the amount of the coupon redeemed

Internet coupon selling or trading sites operate outside the approval of PetSmart. These sites may offer fraudulent or invalid coupons or some designed for customers whom we target with personal offers. These coupons will not be accepted.
