O K I actually wnet into Petco today with your cat scenario #1 written down. I carefully got everything on your list. Got to the cashier. Told him I had coupons. Scanned everything, total was $30.xx so apparead correct with tax. Then started on the coupons. I tried to watch but there is no customer screen, and the ending total came up $7.xx which was more than your 78¢ + tax. He insisted he did every coupon. Horrible line forming, so I asked for my coupons and left.
Sorry about that. Petco and I do not jibe. Will not ever go back. We’ll try Petsmart Sunday morning and see what happens.

Sorry Harold!!! We know checking out at Petco can be a pain.
Our human used to be a Petsmart shopper for the longest time for exactly that reasons, but for a year now, she’s converted more to Petco now that she has things figured out and has a store that is kind and patient. The store we used to go to was just horrible, making the experience terrible.
Now with our coupon friendly store, things are smooth.
We suggest you give it another try and watch the coupons like a hawk 😉
