November 2017 Donation to Meowness

Today we sent the human to Meowness with the items pictured above.
On her way she also picked up an additional 4 jugs of Tidy Cats litter that are not pictured, because they were added to the donation after the picture was taken.
Meowness goes through lots of litter and food, so we were happy the human got to pick up a bit more on her way, taking advantage of the $10 off 30 offer that ended today.
This donation was roughly valued at $690, because some of those big bags in the picture were marked down to only $9.
If we were to consider full retail price, the value would be quite a bit higher.
Our out of pocket expense for this donation was only $74, most of which was tax.
We were thrilled with all the recent markdowns we were able to find in the stores.
It has been a while since our last pet supplies donation, as we were travelling with our humans, so we had to limit ourselves to monetary donations over the las few months. Cold hard cash certainly helps, but coupon shopping allows us to strech those dollars even more and we like to give both, money, supplies and when possible time. American Express: Petco Statement Credit offer through 12/31!

If you are an American Express Cardholder, go ahead and check your Amex Offers under the Benefits tab.
Amex is currently offering a one time $5 statement credit to your enrolled card (you need to click “add to card”) when you spend a minimum of $25 at Petco.
This offer can be redeemed in-store or online until 12/31/2017.
Here’s a way to save 20% off the bat at Petco: Just buy a $25 Petco giftcard with your Amex after adding the offer.
You can do so at PETCO.com or in store.
In case you don’t have an Amex credit card yet, we strongly recommend the Blue Cash Preferred Card . This card gives you 6% off at grocery stores and 3% at gas stations among other things.
We usually use it when Frys or Safeway have pet store gift card promotions. This way we save an extra 6% on our pet store gift cards.
You’ll only get 1% cash back at Petco directly, but hey that $5 off off a $25 card and an additional 1% on top off that.
You can then turn around and use the giftcard with the $10 off 30 we posted earlier today for even more savings!!!

Petsmart: Friends & Family 15% off through 11/5!

Petsmart is currently running one of their friend and family events. The online link says it’s through 11/1, but if you print the coupon from their website it prints with an expiration date of 11/5, giving you one extra day.

Massive Markdowns at Petco!

Furriends, have your humans RUN, don’t walk to Petco right meow! And tell them to take any and all coupons they may have in their stash!
We were only in town for a couple of days, until female human had to leave Phoenix again, so we sent her to Petco to use up a couple of rewards that were close to expiring. In the store, she realised that there were tons of markdowns.
Big bags of Nutro, Natural Balance, Under the Sun, Doctors Foster & Smith, Science Diet and more, between $2-9 each! Plus marked down cans of Nutro and Pro Plan wet food, among other things. We sent her to another store and there she scored some Wellness wet and dry food, along with big bags of Solid Gold, Pro Plan and Purina One dry food, ranging from $2-8 .
Even without coupons, those prices are steals, considering expiration dates were far out, and most bags were on the larger side (10-16 pds). But we do have calendar coupons, insert coupons and printable coupons for the majority of the brands on markdown, plus some of the bags had either coupons on them (Under the Sun) or you can currently find coupons in the stores, if you are a bit lucky.
We are sorry for the crappy pictures, but with the human going out of town, time was of the essence, so we concentrated on shopping as much as possible, rather than taking pretty pics. Once she is back in town, we’ll be able to arrange a nice little donation drop off for our buddies at Meowness and will have better pictures of our booty.
We encourage you to check out your local store to see if any of your preferred brands are on sale and don’t forget to pack your coupons!
If your humans cannot head to the store, you can check out PETCO.com for sales, but they won’t be as good as the ones in store, fur shure! They currently have a $30 off $100 plus free shipping promo though 10/19 (use code save30 in case this link won’t bring it up), however this will not apply to food or litter, so you may be better of in store after all.
